Boho Suites Formentera

Boho Suites Formentera

Formentera, Spain

This project invited us to listen to the island and let its essence dictate every design decision.

Boho Suites Formentera was born from the desire to translate the island’s bohemian spirit into a place to live. A refuge where design does not compete with its surroundings, but extends them. Wood, linen and natural fibres create a tactile palette that evokes the Mediterranean without forcing it, shaping warm, bright and deeply tranquil spaces. Time slows down here. And that, too, is design.

The intervention was structured around a clear premise: that each suite would foster an intimate and relaxed experience, where the guest felt they were inhabiting a space designed for them. Neutral tones inspired by sand and the sea, generous openings for natural light and a selection of honest materials create a balanced, contemporary interior with its own character.

Key Spaces

Suites

Open and balanced spaces where natural light takes centre stage. The light wood furniture, bed linen in earthy tones and linen textiles create an atmosphere of genuine calm, intimate without being austere.

Common areas

Designed for connection and relaxed rest. The same coherence appears in the materials, which run through every corner of the project, ensuring the guest experience is consistent from the very first step.

Exteriors

50 metres from Es Pujols beach, the project incorporates its surroundings as part of the design. The blue of the Mediterranean completes the colour palette.

Details

Colour palette

Warm neutrals (sand, ecru, off-white) as a base on which natural materials add texture and depth. A timeless palette that responds to the changing Mediterranean light.

Materials and textures

Wood, linen and natural fibres underpin the project. Materials that age well and place the space in its own time, at a remove from fleeting trends.

Furnishings

Pieces with clean lines that do not overwhelm the space. Functionality and scale are carefully considered so that each element has its place.

Lighting

Natural wherever the space allows. Artificial lighting designed to complement, not to take centre stage: warm tones that prolong the feeling of a Mediterranean sunset.
